Megan Manzano graduated university with a B.A. in English and a minor in philosophy. Her hobbies include reading, writing, blogging, traveling, and binge watching television shows on Netflix. Writing has always been a love of hers, but it took seeing her favorite book, The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, being made into a movie to draw that realization for herself. She wanted to be able to create characters that moved her in a way the characters from her favorite book did.
The genres she writes the most are fantasy and science fiction. She has a particular interest in writing pieces that are geared for the emotions or make one question the state of reality. Her head is constantly filled with ideas and declaring herself a writer was one of the easiest decisions she ever had to make.
Megan’s first short story was published in The Anglerfish Magazine in 2013, her second in Teen Ink just a year later. Since then she has accumulated several publications which can be found on her publications page. Her goal is to continue this trend and hopefully get a book published in the future. In the meantime, she involves herself in the publishing industry as an Assistant and Freelance Editor as well as a co-creator of The Inkwell Council.
